Meet Randy.
The best job or assignment I ever had was being the Commanding Officer of a Light Attack Helicopter Squadron, and being CEO of Control Solutions is the closest I have ever come to that feeling. It is a wonderful company full of hardworking and devoted people.
Randy Hutcherson, Chief Executive Officer
Randy Hutcherson has been leading the team at Control Solutions since April 2012, having moved to Illinois specifically to join the company. After a rewarding and impactful career with the United States Marine Corps, Randy was eager to lend his leadership skills and military knowledge to a company with a division directly supporting militaries both nationally and globally.
Born and raised in Southern California, Randy moved across the country to attend and graduate from the US Naval Academy in 1976 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He was then commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps in June 1976. As an attack helicopter pilot, Randy was assigned to a variety of Light Attack Helicopter Squadrons, culminating in command of one of the squadrons.
With a desire to expand his military career, Randy graduated from the National War College in 1996. Between 1996 and 2002, he fulfilled various assignments in the Pentagon, including The Joint Staff and Marine Corps Legislative Affairs. He served at the Pentagon until his retirement from the US Marine Corps in July 2002.
Upon his military retirement, Randy began working for Textron and EADS North America (now Airbus North America) in their Washington, D.C. offices, focusing on lobbying, business development/program capture, and program management. He then transitioned to Charleston, SC-based Force Protection (since acquired by General Dynamics), serving as VP of Business Development and COO. Randy's next move was to Control Solutions, where he has happily spent more than a decade. Throughout his career, Randy's wife (and high school sweetheart) of nearly 50 years has been by his side.
