Control Solutions LLC developed the Turret Control System (TCS)
Also known as:
-- Battery Powered Motorized Traversing Unit (BPMTU)
-- 2nd-generation Improved Turret Drive System (ITDS)
These systems provide motorized operation to the gunner’s station and the Objective Gunner Protection Kit (O-GPK).
Traditionally operated by a joystick controller, the TCS can now be operated 100% without removing your hands from the weapon.
The CS3210A weapon-mounted Thumb-controlled actuator (WMC) is the latest development from Control Solutions LLC for the TCS family. The CS3210A consists of a small, single axis thumb joystick mounted into a sealed aluminum housing with a 5015 sealed MIL connector. The CS3210A connects to the turret motor controller (e.g. CS3248) with a ASM001175A joystick cable to provide smooth, proportional motion control to the turret motor.
The WMC allows the gunner to rotate the turret by moving the thumb controlled joystick. The WMC mounts to the top surface of the handle of either the M2 or MK19 weapon system. The CS3210A can be mounted to either side of the handle with the use of thumb screws through a steel mounting clamp. The thumb screws and mounting clamp allow quick removal for storage inside the vehicle.
